I’ve decided to run the Comrades Marathon 2024 for the Malka Ella Fertility Fund in memory of my lifelong friend Neil Kaplan, who tragically passed away in a short time from cancer last year. We were friends for over half a century and grew up together, sharing so many beautiful and wonderful life experiences along the way.

I think it is so fitting to honour my late and dear friend in this way. His passing has left such terrible void in the life of his wife and two daughters, his family and indeed all those who knew him. The Malka Ella Fertility Fund is all about the bringing of new life into this world and may the contributing thereto serve as a merit to his neshama and reminder of the precious person he was.
