A TRIPTYCH OF TREES
Size Framed: 535 x 1045mm
Medium: Watercolour and black ink on paper
In this artwork, the artist uses the words of Nelson Henderson “the true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit” to connect heritage and trees which are synonymous in representation and value. Just as trees grow slowly and form deep roots, so too heritage has the power to inspire growth through deep connections to the past. The artist has divided this work into 3 parts to symbolize the past, the present, and the future.
