This artwork is from a series called “Wondering” where a sense of enigma is heightened by the series’ saturated colour, with most pieces being composed of shades in a single colour, as is represented here. The monochromatic colour palette used does not preclude distractions and underlines its significance. This painting imbues a softness and gentleness to evoke a sense of calm and contentment in the viewer. While the subject of the painting is possibly suggestive of a mother and child, it is open to the viewer’s interpretation.
