In this artwork, the artist wishes to convey her deep sense that good and bad go hand in hand. The analogy depicted in the piece is just as the sun does not always shine, the rain does not always fall. Rather the rainbow, which appears when the sun shines after a rain storm, is only able to exist when we celebrate and appreciate the good and the bad.
