In this artwork, the artist created an assemblage of elements depicting her South African, Jewish heritage. Although the artist descends from Lithuania, her ancestors made Cape Town, South Africa their home. It is here, that the artist connects and puzzles together her heritage and happy memories. From the beauty and magnificence of Table Mountain, to the bright colours of Brokamp Homes, the grand architecture of the Cape Dutch buildings, the surrounding natural elements of the Protea flower, and sprawling oak trees, the artist portrays how her surroundings spiritually uplift her. This work is an oil on canvas, with layers of paint and ideas integrated and superimposed forcing simultaneous vision with no specific time or place.
