In this artwork, the artist depicts a Haredi man playing his instrument on the side of the road, while people walk past, concerned with their own affairs. The artist takes the man from his indistinct position and places him at the centre of the painting, depicting the surrounding environment in a dreamlike, surreal way, as though in the mind of the musician. This painting portrays the idea that Hashem is the composer and player of the ‘music’ of our lives, and that even though we may not notice His presence, it is always there.
