NDLOVU
Size Framed: 447 x 625mm
Medium: Charcoal
In this artwork, when the artist considers her heritage, she immediately pictures the breathtaking scenery of South Africa that contains some of the world’s most breathtaking natural landscapes and the incredible abundance of wildlife. It is for this reason, that the artist drew the African Elephant, also known as Indlovu in Zulu, under an typical African tree. These gentle giants spend most of their days quietly grazing and tending to their herd. This image reminds of the surrounding natural beauty, while also imploring us to reflect and be inspired by the selflessness and interconnection of these creatures.
