Megan Shapiro is a contemporary South African artist who uses art to explore all her past experiences, both good and bad, and allow her concepts, beliefs and feelings to come to the surface. Megan relies on texture to help her navigate the many feelings that each piece represents, as she believes texture is symbolic of one’s feelings, and emotions are the textures of our personalities.
