ohel sarala
Overview
Finding the right match has become increasingly challenging for many singles, while many couples continue to face the heartbreak of infertility. Ohel Sarala, named in memory of Sarala Ginzberg, creates a unique and meaningful connection between these two journeys by discreetly pairing singles and childless couples to daven for one another.
The impact of this initiative has been extraordinary. Since its inception in 2019, Ohel Sarala has celebrated more than 69 marriages and the birth of 67 children to couples who had struggled with infertility.
The Malka Ella Fertility Fund is proud to bring Ohel Sarala to South Africa, offering our community the opportunity to be part of this powerful initiative. By connecting people through shared hope and heartfelt tefillah, we aspire not only to help build new Jewish homes but also to bring new life into the world. As Chazal teach, when we sincerely daven for the needs of others, our own tefillos are especially precious before Hashem.
Process
- A childless couple shares their Hebrew names to be paired with a single seeking to find their soulmate.
- The single receives the couple's Hebrew names, while the couple receives the Hebrew name of the single they have been matched with.
- Each prays for the other, asking Hashem to bless the single with a suitable match and the couple with the gift of a child.
- The single makes a donation, of any amount they are able to the Malka Ella Fertility Fund, helping to support the couple's fertility treatment and medical expenses.
All names given are completely confidential and only Hebrew names are shared.
