About this piece
In Layers of Devotion, the artist explores how faith, memory, and ritual are built gradually through repeated acts of belief and tradition. Using layered watercolour and pencil, the work explores the traces left by repeated gestures and lived experience. The interplay of texture and mark-making reflects the ways in which personal and collective histories become embedded within both objects and memory.
