In Jumbo Hamsa – Joy, Protection, Light, the artist transforms the traditional hamsa into a vibrant symbol of joy, protection, faith, and resilience. Inspired after surviving the 2004 tsunami and life during war in Israel, the work reflects the belief that gratitude and hope have the power to transform lives. Blending Judaic symbolism with contemporary pop art and graffiti, it features meaningful elements including Hebrew words, the Star of David, menorah, pomegranate, butterflies, doves, hearts, and the Third Temple. Rooted in the artist’s philosophy of Effervism, the work celebrates Jewish identity while encouraging viewers to choose kindness, light, connection, and joy every day.
