In this artwork, the artist who has always loved painting the violin, chose to honour Amnon Weinstein as he devoted his life to restoring the musical instruments that were recovered after the Holocaust, despite the demise of their owners and musicians. The instruments restored by Amnon, have been lovingly played again by some of the world’s greatest violinists, such as Shlomo Mintz, Pinchus Zukerman, Yitzchak Perlman, and others. Perlman is one of the artist’s favourite musicians and hence his portrait is included in this piece.
