In Evolving Essence, the artist reinterprets the Jewish concept of the neshama (soul) through the enduring symbolism of the Tree of Life. Cast in pewter relief, the work portrays the soul not as static or contained, but as a living, ever-evolving presence. Flowing forms at the base suggest breath, movement, and renewal, merging seamlessly with the roots to illustrate how the soul remains grounded while continually growing. The branches and leaves represent the diverse experiences, choices, and relationships that shape a person’s journey, with each moment contributing to the soul’s development.
