In this artwork, the artist portrays Hashem’s promise to Avraham and the Jewish people “Raise up your eyes and look from where you are: northward, southward, eastward and westward. For all the land that you see I will give it to you and your descendants forever.” (Parsha Lech Lecha) The artist paints a vast expanse of sky and cloud that stretches above the holy city of Jerusalem, with the holy Temple, where heaven meets earth, and radiates holy light. This land and its holiest city, are our eternal heritage and we keep our eyes raised up to heaven and await the time when all the world will acknowledge this.
