In Children in the Rain, the artist celebrates the carefree joy of childhood, capturing the delight of playing outdoors despite the rain. Using her distinctive layered collage technique, strips of coloured paper are assembled into vibrant compositions of red, orange, and green that echo the movement and energy of the children. At the centre of the work, two children walk hand in hand beneath their umbrellas, symbolising companionship, trust, and shared experience. The artist reframes a rainy day not as something to be endured but as its own kind of joy, made sweeter when shared.
