In Birkat Yeladim: A Blessing for a Daughter, the artist uses delicate watercolour and symbolic imagery to celebrate the traditional Jewish blessing recited over daughters, invoking the matriarchs Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah. Encircled by a wreath of flowers, the sacred words symbolise protection, growth, and the enduring continuity of generations. Soft washes of blue, pink, and green evoke warmth, serenity, and hope. Created for display in a child’s room, the artwork transforms a cherished spoken blessing into a lasting visual expression of love and faith, offering a daily reminder of identity, belonging, guidance, and the promise of a life filled with growth and blessing.
