In The Rebbe, the artist explores the Lubavitcher Rebbe as both a physical presence and a spiritual figure. Painted on Perspex and suspended above a vibrant field of colour and expressive mark-making, the portrait creates a dialogue between figuration and abstraction, the material and the transcendent. The transparent surface introduces depth, allowing the Rebbe to appear both grounded within and elevated above the composition.
