About this piece
In Our Midst, the artist explores the art exhibition’s theme of Reframe through a Jewish perspective of seeing beyond the ordinary to uncover holiness in everyday life. In Judaism, we’re taught to look deeper, to uncover sparks of holiness within the everyday, and to turn darkness into light. Inspired by the promise of the coming of Moshiach, the artwork invites viewers to envision a time when the Beit Hamikdash feels close, familiar, and part of how we live every day.
