Size Framed: 1330 x 1600mm

In “Havdalah”, Jennifer depicts a spice box or tower, a Judaica object used during the Havdalah ceremony. The sweet-smelling herbs of lavender, nutmeg and clove are placed in the spice box or tower and remind us of the Sabbath and the desire to wish each other a sweet week to come. This object tells the story of community, faith and hope. In these difficult sad times for the Jewish people there is always hope for better days.
