Shira Cohen, born in Johannesburg in 1972, holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and Industrial Psychology. Shira began her artistic journey when she discovered her passion for art while attending Janet Pollack’s art classes. Over the years, Shira’s artistic expression has shifted from creating pieces inspired by general beauty and meaning to focusing on subjects with Jewish and religious significance using a variety of techniques, including the use of vibrant colours, rich textures, and acrylics on canvas. Shira works in corporate marketing and coordinates events and believes her work role allows her to leverage her artistic talents.
