Gila Zulberg, born in Durban, discovered her passion for creativity early on in her life. Gila, who studied marketing and communication, later advanced her skills with a graphic design qualification. Her love for design inspired her to launch The Paper Space, a company specialising in design and events. During Covid 19, Gila found renewed inspiration by spending time at home reviewing lessons that she had done many years prior with iconic artist Naama Nothman. This led her to experiment with people and paper, resulting in the creation of the “Paper Portrait”.
