Bev Butkow is a spatial-weaver, material-painter and research-based artist, who arrived late to the arts, switching from a career in finance to obtain a Master of Fine Arts cum laude in 2022. Honoured to be a UJ 2025 Artist in Residence, she has exhibited locally and internationally, including at the Dakar Biennale and 1-54 Art Fair London. Butkow co-founded a rural library and served for over a decade on the SABJE Board and Manco.
